Mrs Adebimpe Giwa, wife of the late founder of Tripple Gee and Company, Mr Gbadebo Giwa, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the firm.

The appointment of Mrs Giwa was approved at the 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at the Agip Recital Hall of Muson Centre, Lagos.

While addressing shareholders of the firm at the AGM on Monday, Mrs Giwa promised to use her wealth of experience garnered from her involvement in different sectors of the economy to improve performance of her late husband’s business.

According to her, one of her first major target would be the introduction of some new business lines so as to grow the company’s earnings and profit, which will in turn be more money into the pockets of shareholders.

A statement issued by the company confirmed that when Mrs Giwa returned to Tripple Gee as an executive director after the demise of the founder in 2018, the company saw an increase in turnover of 149 percent within the first six months.

“It is on record that her stint with the company experienced a northwards movement of an immense turnover. She left Tripple Gee in 2014 to manage AN-BOS Nigeria Limited, a trading company with penchant for the supply of raw materials to Unilever Plc, Nasha Limited and Dala Foods.

“She is a graduate of English from the Lagos State University and has a master’s degree in public administration from the same varsity.

“She also obtained another master’s in marketing from St. Edward’s University, United States of America,” the statement said.

Business Post reports that Mrs Giwa worked as the General Manager in charge of Packaging at Tripple Gee between 2007 and 2014.

She is very vast in the oil and gas, packaging and security printing, import and export sectors.
