Leading sports brand, Nike, has announced its next film aimed to celebrate a summer of sport and encourage athletes.

The flick, ‘Unlimited Courage’, according to Nike, celebrates an extraordinary athlete, Chris Mosier, and his unlimited determination and spirit to become the first openly trans athlete to earn a spot on a US National Team.

It is the latest instalment in Nike’s ‘Nike Unlimited Campaign,’ which hails both the everyday athlete and the champion athletes who regularly push beyond the unimaginable.

Chris Mosier’s story is one of staunch determination, inevitable struggles, and hard-won triumphs to showcase his full potential and compete at the highest level of his sport.

At the age of four, Mosier became aware that his gender identity (male) and biological $ex (female) didn’t align.

Competing in female athletics, he didn’t feel as though he was competing as his authentic self. This has propelled Mosier on his journey to represent his country at the highest level in the Duathlon; “Being the first trans man on a U.S. men’s National Team was a dream come true for me,” said Mosier.

“Everything that I’ve done in the last five, six years since I started to transition, has been with a ‘Just Do It’ mindset. I didn’t know if I would be competitive against men; I just did it. Every success that I’ve had since then has shown me that anything is really possible.”

‘Unlimited Courage’ follows ‘Unlimited Future’ and ‘Unlimited You,’ as part of a campaign that has already struck a chord with millions of consumers around the world, amassing over 260 million global views across multiple platforms to date.

‘Unlimited Future’ quickly became Nike’s most retweeted film, and most liked film ever on Twitter.

“We are connecting with consumers and narrowing the distance between elite athletes and everyday athletes,” explained Nike’s Chief Marketing Officer, Greg Hoffman. “We want to inspire athletes everywhere to dream bigger, break their own barriers and be the best they can be.”

In what will be an unrelenting 2016 of unlimited sport, the campaign will see a series of upcoming spots showcasing extraordinary athlete journeys and highlighting some of sports’ most iconic athletes.

The films are just one component of Nike’s global campaign celebrating athletes around the world across an amazing year of sport.

‘Unlimited’ consumer activations are taking place in Los Angeles, London, New York, Paris, Rio, Sao Paolo, Shanghai and Tokyo, with Nike’s Unlimited Cross-Category footwear collection available at retail across the globe.
