Manchester United, on Friday night, cruised past Southampton in the English Premier League match played at Old Trafford.

United’s summer signing, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s header in the first half gave the home side the lead after enduring some scares from the visitors.

However, the Jose Mourinho’s side got the deserved lead when the former PSG striker scored his second in the match from the spot after the resumption of the second half.

The present world’s most expensive footballer, Paul Pogba, earned his first start of the season on Friday. He initially looked sloppy, but he soon showed why United paid so much to get him put pen to paper for them for a second spell.

United have won two of their first two matches of the new season and sit on top of the log, while The Saints are yet to pick their first win of the season. The Claude Puel’s men picked a point from their first game of the season last weekend and are 13th on the table.
