NCC Targets 30% Broadband Penetration By 2018

Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, has disclosed that broadband penetration in the country is currently at 13 per cent.

He further stated that the National Broadband Committee had projected a target of 30 per cent broadband penetration by the year 2018.

Prof. Danbatta, who made this known during an ICT event in Lagos on Friday, said the Nigeria needs to put in more efforts towards achieving the broadband target by 2018.

The NCC boss, who was represented at the occasion by the Director, Public Affairs, NCC, Tony Ojobo, also said the Commission was doing everything possible to ensure that this dream is realised.
