Amosun Mourns PM News Correspondent

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has expressed shock and sadness at news of the death of a journalist with TheNews/PM News named Mr Abiodun Onafuye.

Mr Onafuye died in the early hours of Friday, September 9.

Until his death, the late pen pusher was a correspondent of TheNews/PM News in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

Ogun State Governor, while commiserating with the Onafuye family, prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed.

He also commiserated with the Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the management of the Independent Communications Network Limited, publishers of TheNews Magazine/PM News over the death of Mr Onafuye.

Mr Amosun prayed that God grants the wife, children and colleagues Mr Onafuye left behind “the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

Mr Onafuye was a career journalist with over 16 years of experience. He had been in Abeokuta as a correspondent for close to 10 years.

His colleagues described him as “hardworking, conscientious and dedicated.”
