Anambra, Firm Sign MoU On Cassava Processing

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has completed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a private company for the processing of cassava in the state.

At a ceremony held on Thursday, October 06, 2016, the Governor expressed hopes that the deal would boost the economy of the state.

The MoU was signed between the state government and Redemption Agro Ltd.

Business Post correspondent gathered that the deal is expected to at first create employment opportunity for 250 people in the state and then more subsequently.

It was learnt that the agreement will also favour farmers in the state, who are expected to provide raw materials to the company.

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Obiano reassured residents of the state that his administration would continue to come up with laudable ideas that would make life better for them.

He urged more investors to put their money in Anambra State, promising to continue to provide more conducive environment for them.
