Deputy Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), Mr Srinivas Jayaraman, has now been appointed the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the company.
This followed the stepping down of Mr Robert Dickerman as the head honcho of the electricity firm effective October 27, 2016.
Recently, the Board of Directors of EEDC embarked on a comprehensive organisational restructure, which gave rise to the new change in leadership.
The exercise, according to a statement issued by the Head of Communications at EEDC, Mr Emeka Ezeh, was aimed at realigning its strategies, direction and priorities to more readily achieve its target ATC&C loss reduction, improve network reliability and customer service.
During the process, changes were made in the organisation’s Executive Management, as well as its staffing policy reviewed with a view to ensuring efficiency in its processes and operations.
It was explained that Mr Jayaraman, a power sector professional, is armed with 38 years of experience and holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India; a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Nagpur University, India and a Diploma in Export Import Management from Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industries India.
