Business Post has reliably learnt that administrators of the famous Ponzi scheme, MMM Nigeria, have set a maximum withdrawal limit for participants.

Our correspondent learnt on Wednesday in Lagos that the latest move is to control the rate at which people withdraw money from their accounts.

One of the participants, who pleaded for anonymity, informed Business Post that he has over N2.7 million in his account, but was surprise to learnt today he cannot take more than N31,000 at the moment.

“As it is now, I cannot withdraw more than N31,000. I don’t even know if that is the highest amount I can take daily or monthly.

“Even the N31,000, I cannot take because the system is giving me an error message. I am at the moment really frustrated. I have lost faith in this MMM of a thing. They had time to resolve all issues, but we are at lost at the moment,” the participant lamented.

However, administrators of the scheme have allayed fears of participants, explaining that they are working hard to ensure everyone access their money.

“Meeting Update Jan 18th

“Priority now is for those with smaller amount on their PO.

“Hundreds of thousands has got help and more will get as we progress gradually.

“With time, large Ghers would be given priority to cash out hence the unpairing of large PH requests as well till date.

“It’s important to do the promo tasks to counter the media pressure.

“How fast the system recovers depends on our confidence in the system.

“Opinion also needed on the freezing of bonuses acquired before December 13.

“Vote was also done on whether bonuses should keep grow or not.

“We also voted for mavro 30% to stop growth after 30days, 50days or continue to grow.

“These votes are our opinions which is very important for Mavrodi to take decision.

“Our community is going back to normal. We have to explain this to our downlines. The more positive we are, will determine how fast we’ll recover. We must speak positive and confidently about our community to people around us.

“We want to create a system where people help each other and a system that will be sustainable. We must be positive and be confident. Do the promo tasks.

“We’ll inform you about updates with time. Ignore the unconfirmed media news.

“We shall overcome!” MMM Nigeria administrators explained.

Last December, accounts of participants were frozen, but later reopened on January 13, 2017. But since then, participants have been unable to access their money.
