CBN Unveils Names of 991 Licenced Microfinance Banks

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released names and list of microfinance banks authorised to operate in the country.

This comes as the apex bank extended the Bank Verification Number (BVN) exercise to microfinance banks and other financial institutions operating in Nigeria.

In the list posted on its website, the central bank said there are 991 microfinance banks given the authority to operate in Nigeria.
