Saraki CCT Trial Postponed Again

By Modupe Gbadeyanka

The trial of Senate President, Mr Bukola Saraki, has again been rescheduled to hold on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

The trial was earlier shifted from April 18 to April 25 (today), but was again moved to Thursday.

It was gathered that the latest shift was as a result of an adjournment requested for by the prosecution counsel, Mr Rotimi Jacobs, who said he was indisposed.

The Senate President is facing trial at the CCT on an 18-count charge. He was accused of false declaration of assets at the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

His trial started in September 2015 and he made several moves to stop the exercise by going to the high court to seek an injunction to halt the process.
