Akuma Wins N5.7m PlentyMillion Jackpot

Ebonyi State-born Mr Anthony Akuma has emerged winner of the PlentyMillion Jackpot, the biggest in Nigeria. The PlentyMillions National Lottery was put together by EG&H Integrated Concepts Limited.

Mr Akuma, a businessman, was presented with the cheque on Friday in the presence of officials of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Diamond Bank Plc, EG&H Integrated Concepts Ltd, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, MD/CEO of EG&H Integrated Concepts Ltd, Mr Thompson Eja, stated that the national lottery was set up to positively change the lives of Nigerians.

He expressed optimism that Mr Akuma would invest wisely with the money.

According to him, the Federal Government passed the National Lottery Act in 2005 with a goal to create an environment where the country can have a lottery in Nigeria to beat those abroad, especially in the US, UK and South Africa.

On his part, Mr Akuma described the development as a blessing from God.

According to him, for many years, he had struggled to make it in life, but at the right time, God heard his prayers and luck smiled on him, making join the league of millionaires in the country.

He urged Nigerians to embrace Plentymillions Lottery.

A representative of Diamond Bank, who was at the event, Mrs Nneka Umeh, congratulated Mr Akuma on winning the jackpot especially in this time of recession.

Mr Yagba Tsav, Assistant Director, Regulation and Monitory, National Lottery Regulatory Commission; Mr Thompson Eda, CEO, EG&H Integrated Concepts; Ms Nneka Umeh,  Head, Diamond Y’ello, Diamond Bank Plc; were among others present at the cheque presentation ceremony of PlentyMillion Jackpot to the winner in Abuja last week.
