Season two of the Orange sponsored programme, The Voice Afrique, has been launched by VoxAfrica TV.

The music talent hunt show is expected to be aired every Saturday from October 14, 2017 on Voxafrica TV’s Francophone Africa and Europe platforms with replays on partnering TV channels.

The second season comes after an exceptional first season, which saw more than 10 million people in Cameroon and 9 million viewers in Ivory Coast alone tuning in every Saturday, for five months.

Music fans will once more discover new talents that will be competing for four months until the big final, which is due to air on January 27, 2018.

The winner will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the show’s first winner Pamela Baketana, and walk away with a record deal courtesy of Universal Music.

The second season of the Voice Afrique Francophone will be staged for 16 weeks and bring together four judges made up of African and international music stars, as well as a charismatic master of ceremony.

Their mission will be to reveal the best voice amongst contestants from 16 French speaking countries like Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroun, Congo, The Ivory-Coast, Gabon, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Niger, Central African Republic, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Chad and Togo.

The show will run over 16 episodes and feature 6 blind auditions, 4 battles, 2 knockouts and 4 live shows from January 6, 2018.

The search to find the most talented singer in Francophone Africa will commence from June 1 to July 23, 2017 with scouting in 16 French speaking countries; the internet castings hold from June 15 to July 15, 2017; and on July 29 and 30, 2017, the simultaneous local castings in Abidjan for the West African Region and Douala for the Central African Region will begin.
