Lafarge Appoints Onwuchekwa Acting Secretary as Uja Resigns

Mrs Edith Onwuchekwa has been announced as the Acting Company Secretary of a leading cement factory in Nigeria, Lafarge Africa Plc.

Her appointment followed the resignation of the former Secretary of the cement firm, Ms Uzoma Uja.

This further followed the approval of Ms Uja’s resignation from the company by the board of directors.

This information was revealed in a statement dated Monday, July 3, 2017, and signed by the Group Managing Director/CEO of Lafarge Africa Plc, Mr Michel Puchercos.

Mr Puchercos noted in the statement that Mrs Onwuchekwa’s appointment as the Acting Company Secretary was with “effect from June 14, 2017, pending the appointment of a substantive Company Secretary.”
