BREAKING: Court Grants Bail to Former OAU Acting VC

Former Acting Vice Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State, Prof Anthony Ekujoba, has been granted bail.

The don was granted bail on Friday by an Osun State High Court in Ede.

Prof Ekujoba is standing trial on a seven-count charge of alleged corruption and abuse of office involving N1.4 billion.

He was earlier arraigned in court on Tuesday, where his bail application was dismissed Justice Akin Oladimeji and ordered to be remanded till July 19 when the case was to be brought for hearing.

At the court earlier this week, some members of staff and students of the school stormed the court, rejecting moves to send their former leader to prison.
