The board of directors of Zenith Bank Plc has approved the payment of interim dividend to its shareholders.

This information was revealed in a statement signed on Thursday by the company’s Secretary and General Counsel, Michael Osilama Otu.

Otu said the decision to pay the interim dividend was reached at the meeting of the board of directors held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.

Also during the meeting, the board “considered and approved the 2017 half year audited results of the group.”

However, the firm said the 2017 half year audited results and the payment of an interim dividend are “subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).”

It concluded by saying that, “The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the investing public would be notified upon receipt of the approval of the CBN of the 2017 half year audited accounts and financial statements.”
