SEC Begins Capital Market Committee Meeting Today

The second edition of the Capital Market Committee (CMC) meeting in 2017 is scheduled to commence today, Tuesday, August 15, 2017.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which conveys the meeting, disclosed that the meeting will hold at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos by 10am.

During the meeting, the capital market regulator stated that it would also consider reports from six technical committees.

The committees are Commodity Ecosystem; Liquidity Enhancement; Market Wide Technology Infrastructure; Multiple Account; e-Dividend and Direct Cash Settlement (DCS); New Listing; and Financial Literacy.

Furthermore, the SEC Statistical Bulletin would be launched by Mr Babajide Ogunsanwo (The Fact Box Company’s Data Analyst) and the Chief Host is the Director General of SEC, Mr Mounir Gwarzo.

On Wednesday, August 16, 2017, SEC said it would hold an interactive session with the media at the commission’s Lagos Zonal Office located at No 3, Idejo Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, by 10am.

However, SEC warned that admission into the venue would be upon presentation of the CMC Identity Card and strictly by invitation.
