The resignation of one of the directors of Evans Medical Plc, Mr Lawrence Anga, has been announced by the medical firm.

Mr Anga served on the board of Evans Medical as one of its non-executive directors before bowing out.

A statement signed by Mrs Adesua Akintemi of Cautious Services Limited, scribe of Evans Medical, did not however explain the reason for Mr Anga’s action.

“Evans Medical Plc would like to announce that one of its non-executive directors, Chief Lawrence Anga, has resigned as Director from the board of the company with effect from October 20, 2017, and his resignation letter would be presented for acceptance by the board at its next meeting,” the statement said.

However, “The company wishes to express its profound gratitude to Chief Lawrence Anga for his services during his tenure as a Director of the company and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

Evans Medical Plc is one of Nigeria’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, which started business operations in Nigeria in 1954.
