Axa Mansard Appoints Ola-Israel as Chief Financial Officer

As a result of her hard work and dedication to the company, Mrs Ngozi Ola-Israel has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Axa Mansard Insurance Plc.

This information was made known by the firm in a statement issued recently.

The appointment of Mrs Ola-Israel followed the promotion of the erstwhile occupier of the position, Mrs Rashidat Adebisi, as the company’s new Divisional Head in charge of Retail Business.

Before joining AXA Mansard Insurance Plc in 2014 as Head of the Financial Control Group, Mrs Ola-Israel spent seven years at PriceWaterHouseCoopers (PwC) as team lead on audit issues.

As the company’s Head of the Financial Group, Mrs Ola-Israel has been responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the accounting and control information held in and reported from the organisation’s accounting systems and supporting the Chief Financial Controller in developing and delivering the firm’s financial and business strategy.

She has also been instrumental to the significant improvements recorded over the last three years in all aspects of the Axa Mansard’s budgeting, forecasting and business planning as well as leading the production of the accounts and other reports as required by management and Board.

Mrs Ola-Israel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos. She is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and a Certified National Accountant (CNA).

In the statement, the board and management of AXA Mansard Insurance Plc were said to have expressed confidence that the wealth of experience of Mrs Ola-Israel “will be a great value add to the company.”

Meanwhile, the appointment of Mrs Ola-Israel, according to Axa Mansard Insurance, has been communicated to the National Insurance Commission, the insurance sector regulator in Nigeria.
