Soji Akintayo Leaves Honeywell Flour Mills Board

A member of the board of directors of Honeywell Flour Mills Plc, Mr Soji Akintayo, has resigned his appointment.

Mr Akintayo, who served on the board of the flour miller as a Non-Executive Director, is leaving the firm to “pursue his personal goals.”

According to a statement signed by the Secretary of Honeywell Flour Mills Plc, Mrs Oluwayemisi Busari, the resignation of Mr Akintayo took effect from December 31, 2017.

“We hereby notify the general public that Mr Soji Akintayo has resigned from the board of Honeywell Flour Mills Plc with effect from December 31, 2017, in order to pursue his personal goals,” Mrs Busari disclosed in a statement yesterday.

Mr Akintayo, who joined the board of Honeywell Flour Mills in 2009, was initially employed in the position of Financial Controller and later Finance Director.

He was later appointed the Group Chief Finance Officer of the Honeywell Group in 2008 and as an Executive Director of Honeywell Fisheries Limited.

Mr Akintayo, the Managing Director of Pivot Engineering Company Limited, is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants, U.K and the Certified General Accountants of Ontario, Canada.

He was previously in the employment of Federal Express in Canada, Consolidated Breweries Limited, Phillips Consulting and Unilever Nigeria Plc.
