The board of directors of Nestle Nigeria Plc has announced date for its meeting to consider the company’s financial statements for last year.

The firm, in a statement issued on Tuesday, disclosed that the meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Also in the statement, Nestle Nigeria said its closed period for trading of its shares on the stock exchange will commence tomorrow.

This is to prevent any of its top persons in the company, who has very sensitive information, carry out transactions at the market that may affect the stock value or take undue advantage of the information to trade in the firm’s shares.

“We write to inform you that the meeting of the board of directors of our company is scheduled for March 1, 2018 to consider the audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2017.

“In line with the Listing Rules of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), we write to inform you that the closed period during which no Director, person discharging managerial responsibility and Adviser of our company and their connected persons shall deal in the securities of the company is effective from February 14, 2018 to March 2, 2018,” the statement said.
