Gov Tambuwal’s Media Aide Imam Imam Dies at 41

Special Adviser on Media to Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Mr Imam Imam, has died at a hospital in Abuja.

Mr Imam, 41, breathed his last on Friday morning at the Nziamye Turkish Hospital in Abuja, after a brief illness.

According to reports, Mr Imam was admitted to the hospital on Saturday and was already recuperating before his sudden death today.

The deceased, a former journalist with ThisDay newspaper, was before his demise, nursing the ambition of being in the House of Representatives next year.

Mr Imam is expected to be buried this afternoon at the Annur Mosque in Abuja.

Mr Imam became spokesman of Mr Tambuwal when he was first elected Speaker of the House of Representatives. He was later appointed for the same position when he became Governor of Sokoto State in 2015.
