FG Declares Friday, Monday Public Holidays for Eid-el Fitr

Friday, June 15 and Monday, June 18, 2018 have been declared as public holidays to celebrate this year’s Eid-el Fitr.

The days were declared work-free days by the Federal Government on Monday, June 11, 2018 by the Minister of Interior, Mr Abdulrahman Dambazau.

The Minister, in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr M. B. Umar, congratulated the Muslim faithful on a successful completion of the Ramadan.

Mr Dambazau also enjoined all Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for the peace, unity, prosperity and stability of the nation.

The Minister urged all Nigerians to be inspired by the virtues gained during the Holy Month of Ramadan to live a life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another.
