Senior Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos, Mr Tunde Bakare, on Friday had a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr Bakare was spotted today at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with the embattled Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, before the meeting.

The cleric, who was the running-mate to Mr Buhari in the 2011 presidential election, arrived the State House around 2:30 pm.

However, about an hour and half later, he emerged from the meeting, refusing to tell the waiting and anxious newsmen what he discussed with the President.

Mr Bakare and Mrs Adeosun hail from the same state, Ogun State.

The Minister, last weekend, in a report, was accused of forging the Exemption Certificate of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) she tendered when she was nominated for the ministerial appointment by the President in 2015.

Many have called for her sack or resignation, including the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Addressing journalists after his meeting with the President today, the man of God and activist said the meeting was not connected with the Minister’s saga.

“Our meetings are not related,” Mr Bakare said, explaining that his part and the Minister’s only crossed while he was on his way to the President’s office.

“We [only] met here,” he emphasised.
