By Modupe Gbadeyanka

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday drafted Minister of State Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, to the Ministry of Finance.

This followed the resignation of Mrs Kemi Adeosun as the Minister of Finance yesterday over her fake National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Exemption Certificate.

Mrs Adeosun tendered her resignation letter to Mr Buhari on Friday after confirming that the certificate was truly not genuine and her resignation was accepted by the President.

In his acceptance letter, Mr Buhari “thanked the Minister for her services to the nation and wished her well in her future pursuits.”

“The President also approved that the Minister of State Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, should oversee the Ministry of Finance with effect from today (Friday),” a statement issued by Mr Buhari’s spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina said.
