A presenter with Lagos-based media house, Television Continental (TVC), Mrs Morayo Afolabi Brown, has apologised for her remarks on her show on Wednesday morning.

Mrs Brown, the main anchor of the popular morning programme on TVC, Your View, had said though she trusts her husband, she cannot allow him bathe their daughter for fear of a possible molestation.

“I absolutely trust my husband but I won’t take chances and have him bathe my daughter, because whether we like it or not, there is something flying in the air these days that is encouraging imbalance and immoralities,” the married media personality had said on her TV show on Wednesday.

Mrs Brown and three other female anchors were discussing a topic on father and daughter relationship, making references to recent news of fathers molesting their daughters.

However, her comments got her into trouble with some condemning her for publicly embarrassing her husband.

During the Friday edition of Your View, Mrs Brown, while apologising to her husband, Mr Femi Brown, broke down in tears.

“The last 24 hours have been tougher than I expected. My sincere apologies to my husband. I love, trust and respect you! It was an error and I’m really sorry!

“It was not my intention. I love, trust and respect you.

“You do not deserve all the horrible things people have said about you,” a tearful Mrs Brown said on the show today.
