The management of Berger Paints Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs Modupe Oguntade as its Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer. Before her recent appointment, Mrs Oguntade was the Chief Financial Officer of Berger Paints Nigeria Plc.
A statement issued by the firm disclosed that the appointment of Mrs Oguntade is effective January 7, 2019.
She is replacing Mr Peter Folikwe, who will be exiting the board, having completed his four year tenure as Managing Director of the company.
In the statement, the board expressed its gratitude to Mr Folikwe for his services to the company, noting that Mrs Oguntade brings on board almost three decades of management experience, having worked with different quoted companies, multinationals and group of companies, including Coopers & Lybrand, Nigeria, SCOA Nig. Plc., Sooner Pipes Ltd, TY Group, and the Dangote Group.
Mrs Oguntade holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University with specialization in Management. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). She is also a member of the SMP 12 class of the Lagos Business School.
