Dangote Cement Appoints Moyen Acting CFO as Egan Resigns

Mr Guillaume Moyen has been announced as the acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Dangote Cement Plc.

This followed the resignation of Mr Brian Egan, as an Executive-Director and CFO of the company with effect from February 28, 2019.

Mr Egan left Dangote Cement so as to return to Ireland and spend more time with his family, a statement from the cement maker said.

In the statement, the board of Dangote Cement expressed its “appreciation to Mr Brian Egan for his valuable contributions and services to the company during his tenure of office as an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer.”

In another statement, the board said Mr Moyen will occupy the position in an acting capacity from Friday, March 1, 2019, congratulating and wishing “him success in his new role.”

Mr Moyen is an accomplished professional strategic finance leader with 20 years of experience in supporting investors and senior executive teams to successfully position and enable organisations to seize profitable long-term growth opportunities in mature and emerging/ frontier markets.

His professional career cuts across Finance, Risks Management, Governance, Internal control, IT, and Procurement working in various sectors like Construction & Mining, Manufacturing and Engineering, Consulting, Nuclear energy solutions and ICL.

He has prodigious strategic, management and transformational change experience working in companies like Areva/ Orano Group and joining DCP from Ola Energy Group, a multi-billion Euros African Group where he was the Group CFO/Head of Finance.

Mr Moyen has MBA degree from Columbia Business School, New-York, a Chartered Accountant (French Chartered Accountant Organisation, Paris, France) and a Certified Internal Auditor (Institute of Internal Auditors Florida, USA).
