Standard Alliance Insurance Picks Ododo as MD/CEO

Mr Richard Ododo has been chosen to be the next Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Standard Alliance Insurance Plc.

This followed the resignation of the former occupier of the same position, Mr Bode Akinboye, after meritoriously serving the company for four years.

“The board of Standard Alliance Insurance Plc is pleased to inform the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), its shareholders, the investing public and other stakeholders of the appointment of a new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr Richard Ododo following the resignation of the former Managing Director/CEO, Mr Bode Akinboye, after meritoriously serving the company for four years,” a statement issued by the insurer disclosed.

It was disclosed that Mr Ododo is armed with over 30 years of insurance industry experience cutting across various functional areas.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Lagos and an MBA (with specialization in Insurance and Risk Management) from Enugu State University.

Mr Ododo also holds the professional qualification of Associate Chartered Insurance Institute Nigeria (ACIIN).

In a related development, Standard Alliance Insurance has announced the appointment of Mr Oduniyi Odusi as the Executive Director in a charge of Technical.

Mr Odusi is said to be a dynamic insurance practitioner with extensive skills and experience in insurance underwriting, business development and leadership management.

The new appointee holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Insurance also from the University of Lagos and a professional qualification of Associate Chartered Insurance Institute Nigeria (ACIIN). He is an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School.
