Leading telecommunication giants, Airtel Nigeria, has been lauded by the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) for its innovative customer service programme which will bring maximum satisfaction to customers.
Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the commission, Prof. Umor Danbatta praised the service provider for rolling out a service to engage, delight, and give rapid feedback to telecommunication users in the country.
Prof. Danbatta, who was represented by the Director, Policy and Competition at the NCC, Mr Mohammed Babajika made this known at the Airtel Customer Forum recently at the BON Hotel in Abuja.
He said he was pleased that Airtel Nigeria was complementing the NCC’s consumer outreach initiative by organizing strategic consumer fora to engage consumers, resolve their queries, obtain vital feedback and also proactively improve customer experience.
“The NCC commends Airtel Nigeria for initiating the Airtel Customer forum. It is indeed a good innovation and we urge Airtel to take the platform to more locations including remote areas across the country. We also encourage Airtel to continue to roll out more services, including 5G.” he said.
In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, Mr Segun Ogunsanya, who was represented by the telecoms company’s Director, Corporate Communications & CSR, Mr Emeka Oparah, said Airtel was passionate about improving the service experience of all its customers.

Director, Customer Experience, Airtel Nigeria, Veronica Onoja, assured the audience that Airtel values feedback and it will continue to create more channels to obtain feedback from its key stakeholders.
The highlight of the event was the feedback session, which afforded all the customers an opportunity to share their recommendations and suggestions as well as express grievances.
The event had in attendance several top industry personalities including Former Minister of Information and Communications, Frank Nweke Jnr.; Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Ajayi Borofice and the Director-General, National Regulatory Lottery Commission (NLRC), Mr Lanre Gbajabiamila, among several others.
