The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced another extension for the 50 percent discounts offered to entrepreneurs who wish register their business names.

Announcing the shifting of the deadline forward on Monday, the CAC said those still interested in registering their businesses with the commission can do it at a reduced cost of N5000.

It explained that the shifting of the promo forward was because of the two-day public holidays declared by the federal government to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir on Monday and Tuesday.

The agency stated via its official Twitter page yesterday that the window would now close Friday, August 16, 2019, instead of the initial Monday, August 12, 2019.

“The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has extended by 3 days, the 50 percent reduction in the registration fee for business names window, with effect from 13th August, 2019. It will now end on Friday, 16th August, 2019.

“The three day extension is to enable Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that could not register their businesses during the promo because of the Sallah holidays to do so.

“The board, management and staff of CAC wishes it’s esteemed customers and the general public Barka de Sallah.

“Members of the public are enjoined to take advantage of the 3 days extension to register their business names at the reduced cost of N5000,” the commission said.
