To use technological solutions to solve quality educational gaps in Nigeria, SchoolGate, a technological and educational focused startup, has created an affordable audio-visual learning portal filled with academic content from primary to tertiary level.
This was revealed in a press statement by Techpoint Africa, where it stated that SchoolGate also provides learning contents on Basic Programming and in other fields such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The educational tool has been made affordable for parents and guardians, who, with as low as N500 per term, can purchase video learning materials for their children and wards.
According to the release, “To cater for the out-of-school and under-schooled children across Nigeria, SchoolGate provides EduBox, an offline package to provide schools in communities and regions where there are no schools.”
However, it was stated that the platform was not restricted only to learning via video contents, as it stated that, “SchoolGate provides SchoolNotes a complementary service that allows students across the country to sell their notes online to other students who might need the notes for study.
To access this platform, the user can visit www.schoolgate.ng where he or she can create an account easily under two minutes with basic requirements and they get the first lesson free.
The student following the registration can browse through the tailored catalogue of Class Bundles where they can buy a Class Bundle, which feature all the core subjects) for N500 per term.
SchoolGate also allows the student to get lifetime access to the course materials available on the portal.
