One of the directors on the board of Axa Mansard Insurance Plc, Mr Frederic Coppin, has tendered his resignation from the company he served meritoriously.

A notice from the insurance firm said the resignation of Mr Coppin became effective from Wednesday, November 20, 2019. This has also been approved by the board.

While on the board of Axa Mansard Insurance, Mr Coppin served as a non-executive director, contributing immensely to the growth of the company, which is listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

“AXA Mansard Insurance Plc wishes to notify the Nigerian Stock Exchange, esteemed shareholders, stakeholders and the public on the resignation of Mr Frederic Coppin, a non-executive director of the company, with effect from November 20, 2019.

“The resignation has been unanimously approved by the board,” the disclosure from the insurance firm stated.

Business Post gathered that Mr Coppin was appointed to the board in 2016 during the 67th board meeting of the organisation, where the resignation of Mrs Sahondra Ratovonarivo as a non-executive director was unanimously approved by the board at the gathering.

When he was appointed to Axa Mansard Insurance board over three years ago, Mr Coppin was the Head of P&C Commercial Lines of the International platform in Madrid (Spain) within the AXA Emerging Markets Region.

In the statement released to the NSE last week, the board and management of AXA Mansard Insurance commended Mr Coppin “for his leadership and overall contribution to the growth of the company during his tenure on the board.”
