Nestle Nigeria Picks Interest in Google Country Manager

One of the largest food and beverage companies in Africa, Nestle Nigeria Plc, has picked a special interest in the Country Manager for Google in the country, Mrs Juliet Ehimuan and she has been invited to join the company’s board of directors.

Mrs Ehimuan, according to a diclosure to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), has been appointed to the board as an independent non-executive director with effect from Monday, February 25, 2020.

One of the key attributes that may have facilitated her appointment could be her about 25 years of professional work experience spanning different sectors.

According to the notice, her contributions to technology and entrepreneurship have won her several awards and recognition. She is a recipient of the London Business School Global Women’s Scholarship.

While at the University of Cambridge, Mrs Ehimuan received two scholarly awards; Selwyn College Scholar and Malaysian Commonwealth Scholar. She won the IT Personality of the Year Award by the Nigeria Computer Society in 2012 and Marketing World Awards in 2016.

It was said that Mrs Ehimuan holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University; a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge in United Kingdom and MBA from London Business School.

The new director of Nestle Nigeria started her career in 1995 and has worked for several companies in Nigeria and abroad, including Shell Petroleum and Microsoft United Kingdom in 2005. She started a company known as Strategic Insight Consulting Limited and later became the General Manager of Chams Plc’s Strategic Business Units. In April 2011, she was appointed Google’s Country Manager for Nigeria.
