Surging Tsitsipas to Face Nadal in Toronto Finals

Rafael Nadal will be facing Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Masters 1000 event finals. The current world number one marched into the finals after a tough match with world number six, Karen Khachanov on Saturday night.

While everyone is excited about Nadal playing in the finals, Greek teenager Tsitsipas will be on the lookout.  We know that if you love betting on your favorite sports matches, you are already on 1xbet trying to bet on the game.

So, how would it be like? Would Tsitsipas be able to make a difference and face up to Nadal in the final?

While it might be a bit difficult, do know that he beat Kevin Anderson on Saturday to make his way through to the finals. In the previous three rounds before reaching the semi-finals, Tsitsipas defeated Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev, and Novak Djokovic.

The world number 27 consecutively defeated four places from the top 10. After winning the semi-finals, Tsitsipas said that playing never gets easier but you get better at it. He turns 20 on game day, which is scheduled on August 12, 2018.

Anderson was unsuccessful at four of Tsitsipas’s serves. Even though Anderson found a way to get back to the teenager, he changed his strategy and stood his ground. End score of their match was 6-7(4) 6-4 7-6(7).

Not expecting too much – That Seems to be the Key

This win will give Tsitsipas 15th rank in the world list, which will be published on Monday, August 13. In the interview, Tsitsipas said that he never thought he’d reach the finals. He surely was confident about winning a couple of rounds but never thought about the finals. The low expectations are what got him so far in the competition. He will take on 32 times Masters 1000 title winner and is very much excited about facing Nadal, one of his idols while growing up.

Nadal Wouldn’t Like to Lose

On the other hand, Nadal is looking forward to the finals. He has had a great run in the tournament so far, and he would like to ensure that he ends it on a high note. It would just add another trophy to his kitty.

After winning his semi-finals match, the tennis player said that he is happy how he played through the season, which is progressive. Sunday will be the biggest test as he will be playing against a great, young player. It will be a good opportunity for him to play against one of the best players of 2018. Nadal has won three Rogers Cup final until now and this one will be his fourth finals match. In 2005, Nadal beat Andre Agassi in the finals, Nicolas Kiefer in 2008, and Milos Raonic in 2013.

Tsitsipas has played against Nadal previously in Barcelona Open and won in straight sets. It is a clay surface match, so it was obvious for Nadal to take the lead since the beginning. No matter how much we love Nadal, we would love to see Tsitsipas take this one home.
