The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange closed the midweek session with a 0.22 per cent growth, with the market capitalisation adding N2.25 billion to settle at N1.044 trillion compared with the previous session’s N1.042 trillion.

In the same vein, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) recorded a rise of 6.44 points to end the day at 2,981.08 points as against 2,974.64 points it recorded at the previous session.

Business Post reports that three securities ended on the gainers’ chart and three securities also finished on the losers’ table.

Geo-Fluids Plc gained 36 Kobo on Wednesday to quote at N3.95 per share compared to Tuesday’s closing price of N3.59 per share, Nipco Plc improved its value by N9.85 to sell at N108.35 per unit versus the previous day’s N98.50 per unit, and Afriland Properties Plc appreciated by 30 Kobo to settle at N16.80 per share, in contrast to the preceding day’s N16.50 per share.

Conversely, UBN Property Plc recorded a decline of 12 Kobo to finisha t N1.67 per unit versus the previous day’s N1.79 per unit, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria dropped 43 Kobo to trade at N44.57 per share compared with the N45.00 per share it was sold a day earlier, and Capital Bancorp Plc fell by 2 Kobo to end at N2.19 per unit versus the preceding session’s N2.21 per unit.

Yesterday, the volume of securities traded at the bourse went up by 85,736.8 per cent to 67.9 million units from the 79,085 units recorded in the previous day.

Equally, the value of securities transacted by investors increased by 7,560.0 per cent to N76.2 million from N994,889, and the number of deals grew by 257.1 per cent to 25 deals from seven deals.

When trading activities ended for the day, Geo-Fluids Plc remained the most traded stock by volume (year-to-date) with 1.6 billion units worth N3.9 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 752.2 million units valued at N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.7 million units sold for N5.3 million.

Aradel Holdings Plc ended the session as the most active stock by value (year-to-date) with 108.7 million units worth N89.2 billion, Okitipupa Plc came next with 752.2 million units valued at N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc was in third with 296.7 million units sold for N5.3 billion.
