Med-View Begins Flight Operations to Abidjan, Conakry, Dakar

From Friday, October 27, 2017 (tomorrow), Med-View Airline will commence flight operations to three Francophone countries.

The countries, which the airline listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) said it would be flying into are Ivory Coast (Abidjan), Guinea (Conakry), and Senegal (Dakar).

In a statement to the NSE on Thursday, and signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Med-View Airline, Mr Muneer Bankole, the airline management said the flight operations will generate more revenue in terms of free flow of individuals, goods and services.

The statement, which said the departure time for tomorrow’s inaugural flight is 7:30am, said “We consider our new in-road into the Francophone bloc of ECOWAS as strategic, aimed at strengthening regional integration as well as promoting free movement through efficient and effective air transportation.”

It was said that the flights will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“The expansion and economic growth envisaged by Med-View Plc is the commencement of these strategic operations will be beneficial to the company and the shareholders at large,” the airline said.

It added that through this development, “the trade volume of the ECOWAS nation will be greatly enhanced through this process.”

At a forum organized by the airline to partner with travel agencies, Med-View Airline said it intends to commence flight on the Lagos-Dubai route from December 7, 2017.

The firm presently flies to Accra, Ghana; Monrovia, Liberia; and Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Med-View Airline currently has aircraft types like Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-400 and Boeing 737-500.
