The management of Meyer Nigeria has announced the appointment of Mr Rotimi Alashe as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company effective July 1, 2019.
A statement signed by the company’s secretary, Ifetola Fade Ibi, and dated July 16, 2019, described the new CFO as an energetic and seasoned finance leader, with a proven track record of over 30 years cognate experience as a financial professional.
It was said that his work experience spans across an array of blue-chip companies in diverse economic sectors, having served in various capacities over the course of 18 years which has driven growth and efficiency.
He was previously the Chief Financial Officer/Executive Director, Coscharis Farms Limited between March 2018 and April 2019 and before then, he was the Chief Responsibility Officer at SRA Integrated Trades from June 2017 to February 2018.
Mr Alashe was the Head of Finance from 2015 to 2017 at Flour Mills Nigeria Plc (formerly Sunti Golden Sugar Estate Limited). Prior to which he headed the Financial Reporting, Tax & Statutory Compliance at Frigoglass Industries Nigeria Limited for five years from 2010-2015.
Between 2007 and 2010, he served as the Financial Controller of Dangote Group when it was still known as Obajana Cement Plc.
Mr Alashe was Finance and Administration Manager at Airliquide Nigeria Plc which he managed from 2006 – 2007 after he vacated his post as Finance Manager, Freezone Fabrication Company Limited after two years in 2006.
His active management role kick started with his appointment as the Finance Manager of the Nigerian Bottling Company Plc in 1999.
Mr Alashe is a graduate of University of Benin and has an MBA in General Management, from Pan Atlantic University (Lagos Business School), Lagos. He is also Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK.
