Transcorp Hotels Plc has appointed Mr Alexander Adeyemi as a new member of its board of directors following the retirement of Dr Wandiga Bakari with effect on Monday, July 15, 2019.
In a statement released on Monday, it was stated that the retirement of Dr Bakari gave room for the appointment of Mr Adeyemi to the board as non-executive director on the company’s board.
Mr Adeyemi is currently serving as the Director, Revenue & Investment, Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF). Prior to this, he also held various directorate positions in the Funds and the Consolidated Accounts Departments of OAGF.
The appointee is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy, London Certified Information System Auditor, (CISA) and the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
Mr Adeyemi holds a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting from Bayero University, Kano and an M.Sc. in Business Administration (MBA) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
