A video circulating on social media is presently causing outrage from Nigeria. The motion picture shows a man being allegedly assaulted by some policemen and security guards attached to a branch of First Bank in Lagos.

It was said the unfortunate incident happened a branch of First Bank at Osapa in the Lekki area of Lagos State on Wednesday.

According to multiple reports, trouble started when the victim, who was seen in the video being brutally hit by the cops, got involved in a heated argument with another bank customer.

He was reportedly asked to leave the banking hall, but refused and the security guard allegedly called to take him out. It was during this process he was being beaten like an animal.

The customer was heard in the video threatening to close his account with First Bank and withdraw all his money before leaving the premises.

The victim, who was seen wearing a lemon T-shirt, was descended on by the security operatives dragging him out of the banking hall and being assaulted as well.

Meanwhile, First Bank, while reacting to the incident via its verified Twitter handle on Friday, promised to look into the incident.

“Our attention has been drawn to a video posted online of an incident that happened at one of our branches.

“The bank is currently investigating this unfortunate incident and will take immediate steps to address both the reasons behind the episode and its fallouts.

“We assure the public that our customers remain at the core of our business and we are committed to delivering the highest standards in customer experience across all our touch points,” First Bank posted.
