The Governing Board of the Nigeria International Maritime Summit (NIMS) has concluded plans to hold this year’s edition of the event from July 5-6, 2022, in Lagos.
The event will precisely take place at the Lagos Oriental Hotel and will consolidate on the first edition of the programme held in 2021.
The summit is a whole-of-value-chain aimed at leveraging the Nigerian maritime industry’s diverse strengths to unlock economic potential through collaboration.
NIMS, as a forum, sets the agenda and offers solutions for maritime business, policy, and operations in Nigeria.
It also promotes a strategic and practical approach to policy implementation and decision-maker accountability.
The 2022 programme will incorporate all the highlights that elevated the inaugural edition as a key maritime industry fixture.
Apart from the high-level sessions that will touch on the most important issues affecting operations and policy, NIMS 2022 will feature a maritime industry exhibition dedicated to the promotion of Nigerian and international maritime and related businesses.
It will also feature networking events that have been touted will strongly boost business-to-business and business-to-government interactions and deals.
This year’s event follows the resounding success of NIMS 2021, which witnessed robust knowledge exchanges, major industry announcements and colourful promotional highlights by the maritime industry.
NIMS 2022 will feature high-level sessions on ports, ships, cargo, finance, maritime security, the blue economy and a range of other issues in the Nigerian maritime industry.
The summit will also feature a maritime industry exhibition, networking events and curated business-to-business and business-to-government sessions.
NIMS 2022 is organised as a whole-of-industry collaboration, with participation open to all.
