In order to position its business for increased efficiency, Berger Paints has appointed Mr Celestine Aruoture as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The appointee, according to a statement from the paint maker, is a registered engineer with the Council for the Registration of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the International Facility Management Association.
He graduated from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He proceeded to the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for Masters of Facilities Management degree and then to the University of South Wales (UK) for a Masters of Business. He also holds certification in Supply Chain Management from Rutgers State University (US) and Data Analytics from Google.
In the statement, Berger Paints said Mr Aruoture has experience in Strategy Development, Budgeting, Financial Analysis, Building Operation & Maintenance, Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Business Continuity Management & Operational Efficiency.
Before his appointment, he was the Head of Facilities Management at Union Bank of Nigeria Limited. He had also served as the Regional Facilities Manager of the bank as well.
Prior to this, he had served as General Services Manager and, subsequently, Area General Services Manager at First Bank of Nigeria Limited.
