Kate Henshaw Emerges Actors Guild of Nigeria’s National PRO

A renowned actor, Kate Henshaw, has been elected as the National Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

The respected thespian emerged as the national spokesperson of the group at a bye-election held on Monday, January 9, 2023.

She clinched the position unopposed during the exercise, which was also held to elect persons to fill a few vacant posts in the association of local actors.

In a statement issued by the National Secretary of AGN, Mr Abubakar Yakubu, it was stated that Kate Henshaw would “be in charge of disseminating strategic communication among guild and non-guild members.”

He also disclosed that Mr Michael Yusuf Michael (MYM) emerged as the Vice President of the group for the North West Zone, defeating his opponent, Mr Rilwan Ibiefo.

Mr Michael will replace Mr Wash Waziri Hong, who occupied the position in the previous tenure.

AGN is one of the recognised groups in the Nigerian movie industry, fondly called Nollywood. The association is currently under the leadership of Mr Emeka Rollas.

Kate Henshaw is one of the prominent figures in the industry and has been featured in several films. She is very active on social media, and she is a fitness enthusiast.
