A popular talk show host, Mrs Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has been appointed as the Managing Director of TVC Entertainment (TVCe).

The channel is the entertainment subsidiary of the Lagos-based broadcast media platform, TVC Communications.

Mrs Afolabi-Brown is the co-anchor of the famous morning show on TVC, Your View, which has won several awards.

Confirming her appointment on Thursday, she said, “I am excitingly pleased to announce my recent appointment as the Managing Director of TVCe, the Entertainment Channel of TVC Communications.

“This is a new chapter in my career. I am exceedingly grateful to the board for entrusting me with this all-important role. [I am] looking forward to a fulfilling experience.

“Only those who have read my book, Becoming the Queen of Talk TV, can appreciate the depth of this testimony; thank you Jesus for always fighting my battles and making a way for me.”

Recall that in 2018, Mrs Afolabi-Brown was in the news when she said on her show that she would not allow her husband to bathe their daughters.

After several criticisms, she publicly apologised to her husband for her comments.

Some months later, she announced her resignation from TVC as the Deputy Director of Programmes to concentrate on her family, stating that she would continue her programme as a freelancer.

“I have two roles at TVC. One is the Deputy Director of Programmes, the other is the host of Your View.

“I recently resigned from the former role in order to spend more quality time with my kids. They are all under 7 years old.

“This doesn’t make me a SUPER woman. It was an easy decision to make because I have the other role as Host of Your View still intact. That will keep me busy in the mornings and available afterwards for the family.

“I have been getting calls since the news broke and I felt it was important for me to clarify,” the media personality, who clocked 40 in 2020, said.
