A 0.20 per cent loss was recorded on Monday, March 11 by the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange, leaving its value down by N2.9 billion to N1.466 trillion from N1.469 trillion last Friday.

In the same vein, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) of the bourse went down by 2.14 points at the close of business to 1,081.71 points from the 1,083.85 points recorded in the previous session.

Trading data showed that while the value of securities traded at the bourse rose, the volume and number of deals executed went south.

This was because the trading value jumped by 182.3 per cent to N147.7 million from N52.3 million, the trading volume depreciated by 53.6 per cent to 886,437 units from 1.9 million units, and the number of deals decreased by 12 per cent to 22 deals from 25 deals.

During the trading session, the OTC securities exchange recorded two price gainers and two price losers led by Aradel Holdings Plc, which crumbled by N55.44 to settle at N1,944.56 per share compared with the preceding session’s N2,000.00 per share, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria, which slumped by 73 Kobo to close at N73.22 per unit versus last Friday’s price of N73.95 per unit.

On the flip side, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc recorded a N1.99 growth to trade at N22.00 per share versus N20.01 per share, and Afriland Properties Plc gained 45 Kobo to quote at N4.97 per unit compared with the previous session’s N4.52 per unit.

At the close of transactions, Aradel Holdings Plc, with a turnover of 2.1 million units valued at N4.5 billion, remained the most active equity by value on a year-to-date basis, followed by FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 4.7 million units sold for N353.0 million, and Geo-Fluids Plc with 48.0 million units worth N118.7 million.

Mixta Real Estate Plc, with the sale of 69.9 million units for N114.5 million, was the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis, trailed by IPWA Plc with a turnover of 48.9 million units worth N24.4 million, and Geo-Fluids Plc with the sale of 48.0 million units valued at N118.7 million.
