Adulterated Diesel

By Modupe Gbadeyanka

The Oyo State government has condemned the persistent sale of adulterated diesel products at unauthorized places along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, describing it as an eyesore.

The Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Mr Abdulmojeed Olawale Mogbonjubola, during a monitoring and enforcement exercise, directed the demolition of all structures housing the black marketers of diesel products.

He hinted at his earlier visit and warnings on the need to put a halt to illegal trading of the products along the axis, lamenting the lackadaisical attitudes of the sellers despite several warnings on the position of the State Government against the illegal business.

In a similar development, Mr Mogbonjubola has directed traders at the Fish Market situated at Odo-Ona Kekere in Ibadan to prioritize sanitation.

The Commissioner, during his visit, conveyed the marketers to the black spot in the premises, warning against further dumping of refuse, and advising them to engage the service of an Environmental Consultant.
