Battle For Crown Jewel

History will be made this Saturday as WWE Raw and SmackDown’s world champions collide to crown the first Crown Jewel champions in the men’s and women’s divisions. Join the ringside as GOtv brings you the action of this pay-per-view event, live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on channel 67, at 5 pm.

Here is the lineup of intriguing matches to look out for on the night:

WWE Crown Jewel Championship — Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther: This is the headliner for this night and it’s expected to be a hell of a match. Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in April to become champion, and most recently defended it against Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match on the Sept 6 episode of SmackDown. Gunther took the title off Damian Priest at August’s SummerSlam and recently retained the title against Sami Zayn on the Oct. 7 episode of Raw. What a match this promises to be.

WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship (Nia Jax vs. Liv Morgan): Jax won the Queen of the Ring tournament the last time she was in Saudi Arabia. This time, she’s facing the sworn rival in Morgan. Bith retained their titles at SummerSlam and Bad Blood. This match must produce a loser. Tune in to find out who will emerge as WWE Women’s Crown Jewel.

Roman Reigns & The Usos vs. The Bloodline: “The OTC” Roman Reigns will reunite with his old partners Jimmy and Jey Uso to take on the new-look Bloodline in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Reigns is on a mission to quell The Bloodline led by the usurper Solo Sikoa, and due to the actions of Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu, he has the support of The Usos. With the original Bloodline seemingly on good enough terms, they will compete together to battle the new Bloodline.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are set to defend their title against Damage CTRL’s Kairi Sane and IYO SKY, NXT’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, and Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match at WWE Crown Jewel. After the four tandems clashed with each other to bring chaos to WWE over several weeks, General Managers Nick Aldis, Adam Pearce and Ava came together to make a Fatal 4-Way Match for the title.

Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed: There could be an interesting plot twist in this after Set Rollins got injured on the last episode of RAW. There are rumours of a replacement for him, but this is WWE, always expect the unexpected. Reed took Rollins out for several weeks with a vicious attack, and it was clear Rollins would be looking to get his payback upon his return. So fingers crossed on this.

Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens: Orton demanded a match against Owens after the prizefighter turned on his former tag team partner. WWE chief content officer Paul Levesque was initially hesitant to grant Orton the match, citing Owens’ brutality and Orton’s age. Orton insisted he hadn’t been hotheaded, asking Levesque what he would do in Orton’s shoes. Levesque conceded and booked the match.

Knight (c) vs. Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes: Andrade and Hayes were scheduled to complete their unofficial best-of-seven series. At stake was a shot at the U.S. title. Knight did a poor job as the special guest referee, sparking a no-contest after hitting both men with BFTs. SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis punished Knight by booking the triple threat title match for Crown Jewel.
