Momentum is gradually gathering ahead of the agrofood & plastprintpack Nigeria 2017 taking place from March 28 to 30 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos.
The event is organized by the German trade fair specialists, fairtrade, and over 100 exhibitors from 19 countries would be in attendance, making it a record participation.
It is the first ever exhibition filling both halls of the Landmark and for the first time, there would be an official German Pavilion featuring 31 German exhibitors.
The French Pavilion is already in for the third time and once again presents a French Live Bakery. Also Italy and China for the first time both will have a remarkable presence. VDMA once again holds a food tec symposium. More than 2,000 visitors are expected.
“This year more than one hundred exhibitors from 19 countries are represented, making it a record participation”, says Leonie Ganser, project manager at fairtrade. “It is the first ever exhibition filling both halls of the Lagos Landmark Centre.”
The exhibitors come from Austria, Benin, Brazil, China, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, South Africa, Taiwan, Togo, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
For the first time Germany will host an official German Pavilion at agrofood & plastprintpack Nigeria 2017 featuring 31 German technology leaders presenting their innovations on 510 square meters net exhibition space.
The German Pavilion is presented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry AUMA, and supported by VDMA-German Engineering Federation.
For the third time the French agrofood association adepta leads a delegation of French companies. “Highlight of the French Pavilion will once again be the live bakery, a great opportunity for Nigerian entrepreneurs to test the equipment and discuss their investment projects with specialists of the sector”, so Aude Roelly, Area Sales Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, adepta.
VDMA again holds a Symposium on food and drink technology under the slogan “German Technology – Tailor made for foodstuff processing & packaging”. “This year again we will present the strengths of German engineering in Lagos”, said Martina Claus, Head of Market Development Africa, VDMA. “This event will give an excellent opportunity to meet leading manufacturers of machinery for the production and packaging of food and beverages.”
