OTC Exchange Closes Flat Amid Fall in Activity Level

The major performance indicators of the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange remained unchanged on Monday, November 11.

The flat outcome recorded yesterday was because the prices of securities on the trading platform remained unchanged at the close of transactions.

Consequently, the market capitalisation of the bourse closed at N1.047 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) ended at 2,987.52 points like it was last Friday.

However, the activity chart witnessed movements, with the volume of transactions going down by 63.6 per cent to 172,760 units from the 474,385 units achieved in the preceding trading day.

Also, the value of trades recorded yesterday at the unlisted securities market went down by 43.7 per cent to N901,905 from the N1.6 million posted in the previous trading session.

Similarly, the number of deals carried out during the session shrank by 50.00 per cent to seven deals from the 14 deals executed last Friday.

Geo-Fluids Plc finished the day as the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 1.6 billion units sold for N3.9 billion, trailed by Okitipupa Plc with 752.2 million units valued at N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.7 million units worth N5.3 million.

Aradel Holdings Plc remained the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 108.7 million units worth N89.2 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 752.2 million units valued at N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.7 million units sold for N5.3 billion.
