Afriland Properties, CSCS Further Raise NASD OTC Exchange by 0.35%

Two duo of Afriland Properties Plc and the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc further raised the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange by 0.35 per cent on Wednesday, July 2.
During the session, the price of Afriland Properties Plc appreciated by N1.90 to sell at N21.30 per unit compared with the previous day’s N19.40 per unit, and CSCS Plc gained N1.39 to settle at N30.50 per share versus the N29.11 per share it was traded on Tuesday.
As a result, the market capitalisation rose by N6.98 billion to close at N1.984 trillion compared with the preceding day’s N1.977 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) chalked up 9.92 points to finish at 3,389.71 points, in contrast to the previous session’s 3,379.79 points.
Yesterday, the price of FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc went down by N1.32 to end at N60.87 per unit compared with the preceding day’s N62.19 per unit.
Data revealed that at midweek, the volume of securities increased by 341.48 per cent to 733,635 units from the 166,176 units recorded in the previous trading day, the value of securities went up by 259.1 per cent to N23.5 million from N6.5 million, and the number of deals expanded by 5.3 per cent to 20 deals from 19 deals.
At the close of transactions, Impresit Bakolori Plc remained the most active stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with the sale of 536.9 million units worth N524.8 million, followed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.2 million units traded at N4.2 billion, and Geo-Fluids Plc with 268.5 million units valued at N476.0 million.
In the same vein, Okitipupa Plc maintained its position as the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 153.8 million units valued at N4.9 billion, trailed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.2 million units sold for N4.2 billion, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 41.2 million units worth N1.7 billion.
