Oyo Residents to Enjoy Health Insurance Scheme with N200

With only N200 as registration fee, civil servants and the entire people of Oyo State will enjoy a National Health Insurance Scheme to be launched by the state Governor, Mr Abiola Ajimobi, the Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Mr Olalekan Alli has revealed.

Addressing newsmen on Tuesday at the House of Chiefs Secretariat in Ibadan, Mr Alli said the scheme was part of initiatives of Mr Ajimobi to mark his 6th year in office as Governor of Oyo State.

According to the SSG, the celebrations will kick off with a parley between the Governor and children from across the state, where they will have the opportunity to interact with him (Mr Ajimobi).

He said further that this Friday, Governor Ajimobi, with other members of the Oyo State Executive Council, will observe a Jumat service at the Ojaba central mosque in Ibadan while a thanksgiving service will come up at the Bodija Estate Baptist Church on Sunday.

Speaking further, the SSG reeled out other programmes for the celebration to include opening up of the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Ibadan with the coming on board of some industries, commissioning of a block of administrative building at the Oyo State owned newly established Technical University.

Mr Alli also declared that various road construction projects in Ibadan which are already on going would be officially flag off by Governor Ajimobi as well as the opening up of various housing estates including those to be named after a former Governor of old Oyo state, Dr Victor Omololu Olunloyo, in Ibadan.

He listed other programmes for the celebration to include the foundation laying ceremony of the Iseyin Internation Market, a world press conference/interaction to be addressed by the Governor at the University of Ibadan International conference centre.

Mr Alli however urged the people of Oyo state to continue to support the present administration in the state in moving the state forward especially in the quest at making the buoyant financially.
